“Do You Recall, Long Ago”

Gracie Ward was a renowned and highly acclaimed singer-songwriter, dying in a freak accident at 29 in late 2019. An anonymous author spent three years after her death conducting oral interviews with her friends, family, and colleagues to write a biography of her life. The biography serves to also deconstruct the folklore and mythos surrounding her, especially post-mortem, though it may be used to prove her death was less of an accident and more of a murder by the time of its publication.
“High Rise/Hard Fall”

Fabian, Beatrice, and Penelope are high school graduates and best friends. They’ve realized that they’re on the verge of having a reckoning with their own personal traumas and are determined to put it off for as long as possible. It’s all in favor of wanting to enjoy the last perfect summer before heading off to their dream colleges. When Penelope finds out her favorite singer died, she’s convinced that it wasn’t actually an accident. Fabian and Beatrice think she’s spent too much time on Reddit, but agree to help her “investigate” – only for them to slowly become convinced Penelope is actually right and they might be on the verge of solving a murder.
